Krisflyer email verification

I've just been looking at opening a new Krisflyer account. Like most, it finishes with the statement that it will send an email, basically to verify that the email address is real. Normally such an email is pretty much instant, but this seems to be coming by boat. Is this normal?

No. I even looked at the base web sites to make sure it wasn't there.

Just signed up again and no email in the last 10 minutes for me either.

I helped someone signup ten weeks ago and the email was received within a minute or so.

Over 12 hours. I even tried again with a different email....?

Guess they just don’t like me.

It's not you ... it is them.

I initiated a signup ¾ hour ago using a known working email address (double checking to ensure it was entered both times correctly and indeed could receive emails).

No email from Krisflyer has been received there as yet.

The one I did in Late June had the subject: "KrisFlyer Account Activation" and came from "sia_autoresponse@singaporeair.com.sg".

Still no email for me 14+ hours later.
Just signed up again to get a page pop up saying I am already a KrisFlyer Member and to contact member services.

Well no email arrived so I tried something different, I signed up on the App on my iPhone using a different email address and success.
Went straight to page showing KF number and nothing about a verification email.

It worked after a couple of days, but I needed a couple of extra email accounts.

I hope you get to enjoy your Kris Miles Account as much as our family.
If you try Suites it is hard just going back to business class.
My brother has never advanced from business class.
My adult sons seem to be able to switch between business and Suites.

I suspect I’ll be a one flight wonder...once I’m retired I won’t be getting points at much of a rate.

Yes suites was extremely special, but for me personally the jump from Y to J is a huuuge leap, not so much from J to F/R.
Think I'll stick to J to make those points go further.
However with an over abundance of points like yourself I can see the attraction of F/R only lol
