Hi,

I am flying PER>KUL on MH J, then have a connecting flight on Malindo.

So I am going to have to clear immigration and collect bags. Been a while since I have been to KLIA. From landing how long might it take to get to the baggage claim (let’s say plane arrives at the satellite terminal).

Arriving at 7:50am on a weekday. Will I have access to some sort of priority lane for immigration as I arrive in J class? And do J class passengers bags come out first?

Check in/baggage drop for Malindo flight then closes 11:20am so just need to have collected bags and make it upstairs by then.

Just working out how much of a buffer I have for delays on the inbound, based on time from landing to baggage claim.

Thanks!

Sounds like you have discrete tickets. So, how much time do you have between flights? And what happens if you miss your second flight? Are there lots of flights there each day you could buy another ticket on?

And what are the consequences if you do miss the second flight? Missed meeting? Huge business opportunity? Or a few drinks by the pool?

These questions will all inform your planning.

Yes, there is an APEC/Business counter for immigration clearance. Straight ahead instead of to the left for foreigners, right for auto gates.
Your timing sounds more than enough provided your initial flight is not very late.

ISTR some OD flights still were to depart from KLIA2 after they mainly moved to KLIA a few years ago, but they were turboprop services.
