with all the incredible airfare deals around, wonder if kids fares(generally 25% for 2-11s & less in taxes/charges) will disappear soon.
To me, it seems a lot like servos that advertise E10 fuel cheap, but if you want higher octane, you usually pay a lot more.
So why do airlines offer $750 fares to USA mainland return & $1000 fares to EU return & still offer a discount for kids ?
Have noticed that with some airlines, kids must be under 12 years not only on departure date, but also return date.
It would be easier & more profitable for airlines, if airlines just offered the 1 fare regardless of age, per fare bucket.
