Kicked off a plane for speaking Arabic

Panic in the air after Boston bombings | News.com.au

At Logan International Airport in Boston two men who were not seated together started speaking Arabic, My Fox Boston reported. That was enough to have them removed from the plane.

"There were some concerned marathoners on the flight so the plane was brought back to the gate and the two men were escorted off the plane," My Fox reports.

This story really annoys me, it is racial profiling at it's absolute worst. 2 people, who dare to commit the crime of looking different and talking different have been kicked off a plane.
I realise the Boston bombings have made people on edge, but it's hardly an excuse as far as I'm concerned. I really do hope that these two men take legal action against US Airways.

That is simply outrageous! Americans would be the first to complain if they were removed from a flight in a foreign country for speaking English.

Given the nature of the devices, I am thinking its more likely a home grown person. How soon they forget the profile of the Oklahoma bomber. I think that this sickening.

And as the media is reporting actual events that have happened with flights today, I dont think the media "made" this one up.

I am thinking anyone who is tanned, dark hair and maybe not even a beard is now a suspect person. Hope the person turns out to be a blond haired, blue eyed third generation Yankee. Then maybe they would look inwards and not outwards as the source of some of their issues.

Love the USA, so please don't use that as an excuse. But that is not to deny that some of their issues - eg Abortion, Gun Lobby, etc etc, shouldnt be addressed.

It's going to take generations to sort the Gun Lobbyists, if ever. And the anti-abortionists - well, who knows. But they dont mind killing people just to prove their concept of abortion is murder, so as they say in the USA, Go figure.

I'd understand, just like several years ago when my employer did business in Iraq and Afghanistan, I accepted I wasn't liked by many locals and the obvious out come of being killed.

So I've been in that position myself, when some thing happens locally don't jump on a plane or site in a cafe drawing attention to sensitive locals.

So I totally understand how this came about, it happens to westerners in the Middle East as well, just like it happened to me in Central America just last week, when conversing with a policeman with a machine gun behind a wall sand bags, as a gringo I took care not to give him a reason to shoot.

Reading a few other reports/media/news about this, it seems that a few marathon runners and a few other people were concerned about these two arabic people who were dressed in arabic clothing etc... As a result the pilot was informed and wanted them removed from the flight.
