Kicked off a plane for speaking Arabic

I see the USA haters are coming out of the woodwork in here.....

Are we reading the same thread? Your comment is entirely wrong and pointless. People are just discussing a situation who is the greater hater, some discussing national flaws or the person whose only contribution is throwing around derogatory terms.

I am thinking anyone who is tanned, dark hair and maybe not even a beard is now a suspect person. Hope the person turns out to be a blond haired, blue eyed third generation Yankee. Then maybe they would look inwards and not outwards as the source of some of their issues.

They didn't do that after Waco or Oklahoma City. Why would they start now?

As the OP, I don't hate the USA, in fact exactly the opposite, I love the USA, I love traveling there, and I have many friends as well as family who live there.
What I don't like is people being treated differently because of an attribute that they share with evil people, despite that attribute having no bearing on them as a person.

They should have removed the marathon runners instead... or the marathon runners should have done the polite thing and asked to be changed to a later flight.

There may be more to this. Will wait to see what else comes out over the next couple of days.

Panic in the air after Boston bombings | News.com.au

This story really annoys me, it is racial profiling at it's absolute worst. 2 people, who dare to commit the crime of looking different and talking different have been kicked off a plane.
I realise the Boston bombings have made people on edge, but it's hardly an excuse as far as I'm concerned. I really do hope that these two men take legal action against US Airways.

Just before the world cup in Germany in 2006, I was travelling on the ICE train and was seating next to a guy with dark skin. There were 2 undercover cops going through the train and they stopped in our carriage and asked for the travel documents of the guy next to me and then asked for my documents. I am sure I was only asked so they didn't look they were targeting the dark skin foreigner.

Regardless of who was responsible, any terrorist is loving hearing these stories. This is what they want. They want Americans to live in fear and cause disruption to their lives. Come on America you should be better than this. Don't let them win.

Many Americans are starting to notice that there's a bit of a disconnect in the way these things are handled based on the origin of the perpetrator...
I still hope the bomber is a white American - Salon.com
Then he moves into an analysis of the future reaction. As O’Reilly put it, “If this is an international terror attack, the repercussions will be severe,” but, he added, “if it’s home-grown” that will just “be another stain on American history.”
When you've staunch right-wing conservatives like Bill O'Reilly commenting on, you know the situation is really becoming noticeable...

Very interesting article and exactly what I think. Will it kind of agrees with Bill O'Reilly, they are coming from opposite directions.
