Question KF points credit after cancelling

Hi have just cancelled a KF reward flight via the app and wondering how long the points take to credit back to my account as wish to use them for another booking. Any assistance is appreciated.

I think you have to pay a refund fee to get the points back. Have you called and done that?

No cancelled via the app and it says fee will be charged to card that the ticket was charged to.
Should I call them or will they then charge me a call service fee?

Sorry, I’ve never cancelled a SQ award. The call center is good to deal with and won’t charge for asking about the process. Check if the fee has been charged to the cc first.

I've not cancelled a KF award for a few years, but at that time I had to call to request the refund of points. Phone 02 8228 1188.

I cancelled a ticket a week or so after the auomated system came into place. The automation didn't work and I received a call from Krisflyer to charge the refund fee. I cancelled another ticket a month or so ago. Automation worked fine and refund fee was charged within a couple of days. IIRC, it took the points another couple of days to be refunded.
