To the OP - Curious as to what line of work you're in?

I do BD for a multinational company.

In my case I do it the easy with a lot of J trips up into Asia and a few into and the US, but I do spend half of my time on the road.

feel sorry for the ones who do it in the back

Like many others I've had P1 since inception and will renew again this year. The service levels and benefits from the P1 program work for me. Put simply I can get the family and I using the points I accrue on the QF metal flights I want, in the class I want and in the class I need.

Ditto - I will renew again since conception. Not sure about next year as moving back to Sydney.
Shame it didn't come in earlier as it would have been 6 years in a row.... - 80% of it domestic (& NZ) Y.

So yes benefits wise in the air - not much for me being mainly domestic- but the P1 team is great and when things do go wrong even on domestic things are easily sorted.

So Chris, do you actually recognise your family when you are not flying ?

I spend up to 225 nights away from home each year. It makes it tough on everyone when you miss anniversaries, birthdays and other significant events. Being able to take the family away somewhere special every couple of years takes the edge of things and also gives the family something to look forward to.
