Aaah, unless it's changed recently, you probably can't host anyone (even yourself) at SAN. AC is located airside in Terminal 2, and the AA flights to LAX go from the nearby Commuter terminal with no lounges. There was a small coffee shop to sit in instead...

First time posting to a thread like this, going to get QP membership before June but will be travelling with my sister so I don't think I can get anyone in? Would love to meet people though.

Thanks for the tip dajop. It'll be my first time in SAN so will think of something else to do instead of lounging :)

That's OK! SAN is very close to centre of town, so I'm sure you'll find plenty to do. In fact I was shocked at how close the airport is. I caught a public bus and I swear it was quicker to get to the plane from downtown San Diego, than it is to get to the plane from the (airside) lounge at some airports (in particular it has taken me about 15 mins to get from the TG lounge at BKK to the plane - and I walk fast too).

My conference & accom is @ the Sheraton San Diego hotel & Marina, which is wickedly close to SAN. I'll spend the avro downtown and jump on the hotel shuttle bus to get to the airport in the evening.

LOL. The experience was quite the same to go from the QF lounge at BKK (which was not as great as the one in SIN, in my opinion) to the departure gate for QF2.
