On 17th, looks like JohnK is in BNE QP at the same time as batesy is in SYD and I'm in MEL - and we are swapping cities (I'm coming back to BNE, JohnK is back to SYD and batesy to MEL). So we'll all be in the air at the same time passing one another...Freaky :shock:

Howdy, still new to this community. It appears this thread is for those with current lounge access (in July 09) announcing times they will be at airports (DOM and INT) for the purpose of bringing guests in with them whom otherwise would not have access.

Just like to say well done to those extending this kind generosity to other members, always great to see this type of community. I myself would love to see the inside of a First Class lounge. Maybe one day with threads like this could be possible. Cheers!

People who don't have lounge access can also post, that way if you see someone requires guesting you can offer access to them if you happen to be travelling at the same time

Actually, I ended up getting a flight 3 hours earlier. My wife was texting me during the day that my daughter was ill and rang me at 3.30pm (just when I was on my back from South Yarra to the CBD) to say that she was taking her to the doctors. Needless to say, I went straight to the airport and the QC.

Checked in at the CS Desk only saying that I was 3 hours early for check-in and a lovely CSA said "I shouldn't do this, but would you like to get the 5.05pm flight. I can't guarantee a good seat as it's a full flight" then proceeded to give me 14A on a 738. Hang on, a window exit is a bad seat. Hell no dear - that's awesome. I could have leaned over the desk and kissed her. I hadn't even used the "my daughter is sick" line. Can't call her a Lounge Dragon. My faith is restored.

Daughter was well again Sat morning after some steriod based medicine but lapsed back on Sunday morning, so a trip to Doctor then Hospital ensued. Amazing what medicine, a sleep and 30 mins can do to change a crying, fever filled daughter to a chatting, question asking "was I sick?" daughter
