On Friday 8 January 2021, an incredible 41 JQd flights look to be cancelled from Sydney Airport.

It appears that only five JQd flights are operating from SYD today: two to BNK, and one each to ADL, BNE and MEL.

I have gone into far more details in the Jetstar thread under airline delays/cancellations.

Well, my upcoming flights from SYD to TSV have been cancelled. This is now my 4th failed attempt to visit QLD since April last year. Thanks a lot, Anastasia. If you don't want my tourist dollars in QLD, just say so! 🙄😜

My guess is many won't travel interstate at present. Too risky that a state will again have closed borders.

Really sad to see how most of the State Premiers couldn't care less about jobs (and investment) in the passenger transport, accommodation and hospitality sectors.

On Thursday 14 January 2021, JQd was meant to operate 59 flights from SYD, but only eight survived the cancellation axe.

There were just seven JQd flights ex Sydney on Sunday 17 January 2021.

VAd had 11, while QFd had 34 but about 17 of these were only Q300/Q400 small capacity turboprops.

Harsh times for airlines in east coast Oz.

JDd is down to just six flights scheduled from SYD today (Saturday 30 January 2021) of which two are to MEL and none to BNE.

Its group colleague QFd is reduced to 20 ex-SYD flights but 13 are turboprops, including three to offshore LDH, while VAd, the competitor, has only seven flights ex SYD, two of which are to MEL and one to BNE, but none for instance to OOL as the latter sole proposed flight has been cancelled.

Saturday 10 July 2021 is part of the weekend when NSW and Victorian school holidays end but due to the Greater Sydney lockdown and associated 10km travel restriction, the airlines are continuing to drastically reduce flights.

JQd only has one flight from Sydney to Melbourne at 1610 hours tomorrow.

Competitors QFd (two, respectively 0800 and 1300 hours) and VAd 2.0 (two) are similar.

I’m booked for a BNE-DRW tomorrow on JQ. Don’t hold out much hope it’ll happen but at the same time, there’s bugger all rebooking options and if I can’t fly that day I suspect my exemption (transit) to re-enter the NT will be toast.
Have checked in and sequence number 11 which hopefully is a good sign
