Without getting into pedantics, when my BNE-CNS/TSV flight departs 2pm (hasn't changed schedule for many years) and I see the QP bar sign advising 2pm opening in DST, I am already boarded and gone.
There's been previous discussions on 1 or 2pm variations on QLD QP bar openings if you want to check. Cheers
I was referring to Daylight Saving Time and somehow, despite not taking part in QLD DST, the temperence BNE QP moves its bar times to coincide with other States![]()
Actually I was getting pedantic, well maybe puzzling over exactly how the 2 pm opening time has anything to do with coinciding with bar opening times in other states. Because what your saying just doesn't add up. Daylight savings time can not explain the change that you mention.
Non Daylight time: 1pm in Brisbane (as you say above) = 1 pm in Sydney.
Daylight time: 2pm in Brisbane = 3pm in Sydney (i.e. the times coincide). so they must also be changing the bar open time in Sydney.
In any case I'm also puzzled by how this daylight savings answer is even relevant to the advice that it is now a 12 pm opening time. Daylight time only involves a 1 hour change not a 2 hours change.
