UPDATE 1-JetStar to invest $500 mln in Singapore hub, add aircraft | Reuters
SINGAPORE, July 15 (Reuters) - Budget airline JetStar, a unit of Australia's Qantas , plans to invest $500 million in its Singapore hub, mostly by adding seven Airbus aircraft, Chief Executive Bruce Buchanan said.
JetStar will add five new Airbus A320 single-aisle aircraft and an additional two wide-body Airbus A330 planes at the Singapore operation to support its expansion, the carrier said in a statement.
Cheers

We know where the A330s are coming from!

I wonder if any of the Air Asia orders for A320neo and A330s are bound for Jetstar given their procurement alliance They've been very quiet since the alliance was announced.

What good PR it is to be flying a subsidiary of an airline that screams to all who will listen 'I still call Australia home".

It's another step towards the end of QF as we knew it.

To be fair, JQ is earning money, but I think the money they're earning should be offset by the investment QF mainline has put into them. It's not fair to throw money at them, because they're making money, after all, they're only making money because money is being thrown at them. While at the same time, QF gets nothing, because they're not being given money to improve, and thus not making money. Great business.

Unlike Tiger who are having money thrown at them, and who are spending it.
