Jetstar Star Class Promo

My wife and I recently travelled from BNE to BKK via MEL with JQ with a special deal. The flight from BNE to MEL was with QF and in D class but in Business class, we then connected to BKK with JQ and this was in *class. The same sequence for the way home.
I received J class equivalent points for all trips (60 +120 +120 +60), but my wife only got 60 + 120 + 60 + 60). Same booking, same resrvation and we travelled and checked in together at all times. Try and work that out. On QF online it says that the BKK - MEL flight for her was a Jet Flex fare. I have contacted QF and I'll let you know what happens.

Also interested to see if we get the 5000 bonus FF points for flying JQ *Class in Feb, as promoted!! As they say, "you get what you pay for".

A word of warning/advice also - they are red hot in BKK on the xs baggage, even for *class. We had 63 kilos together (max 30 pp allowed) and they were going to charge (about $20 - $25 per kilo). So load up your carry on as they don't care about that.

Finally got my points and SC.. Flight on the 12, points credited on 22nd.

But as expected, QFF did not credit the 5000 star class Feb bonus.

I knew that would happen.... I get the feeling QFF are trying to get out of giving the bonus.

Hmmmm 5000 points.. is it really worth my time to call and explain?

My Standard SC's, milage, cabin bonus and status bonus points for Sunday's flight posted Monday Morning. I observed the Promotional 5K bonus points had not.

However, several hours later on Monday evening I they had indeed posted.

If I were you I would wait until tomorrow and if the promotional bonus points have not yet posted I would call QFF and ask about it.

FWIW, the points for my return flight have not posted yet; seems par for the course.

My experience is similar to serfty's ... Outbound flight credited points/status/+5000 online the day after [can't tell in what order on the day this occurred - but all have the same date].

My inbound flights credited points/status/+5000 online three days later.

Mum & I are now back from HCM - having travelled on StarClass. Mum was suitably impressed with JetStar services :D . [She has travelled all around the world over the last 20 years, but primarily with StarAlliance airlines and 95% of time in economy.]

Mum thought the food was good on the SYD - SGN leg and the water bottles were appreciated during flight. Crew was polite. I liked the Connoisseur ice cream as in-flight snack! Mum really liked the video on demand unit. We both thought Qantas should rip out all their AVOD and replace them with these units. The headset was good, the screen was clearer. It would save them heaps and make the plane lighter in not having to carry the full CPU on board underneath each seat. And, solve the problems of angry passengers with crew recently on some long haul QF flights where the AVOD did not work.

We reserved and got seats 1J & 1K (not changed by JetStar) based on the advice by serfty (I think?). They were good seats and no sun in eyes. The cabin was about a quarter full on the SYD - SGN leg, but was completely full on the SGN - SYD leg. Boarding was an hour before departure time, so we did not spend much time in lounges.

The points for the outbound leg have been credited, but not the ones for the inbound leg (we were back on Sunday) - will check again next week.

As you pointed out in another thread, we were on the same flight BKK -MEL (J1 & K1 must have been right in front of you if you were in 2J & 2K) and we also both got our points and SC (120) today. No bonus 5000 points so far, will give it until late tomorrow before I ring Qantas.
