Hi All,

I did a flight on JQ this morning (haven't flown JQ in years, luckily :) I had purchased the starter pack to get QFF points on my flight.
Just wondering what peoples recent experience has been with the time taken for points to come through?

Most of my QF flights come in within hours, just not sure about the current state of JQ's points system.

Thanks!!

Flew on the Deathstar last month and it took about 5 or 6 days for the points and SC to post. After reading some of the horror stories here, I was pleased they posted in under a week.

Thanks for info!

I've got a stack of Oneworld SC's sitting there but needed one more QF or JQ segment to satisfy the 4 flights in a year to retain or attain, just didn't want to wait a month or two :)
I can live with 5-6 days hopefully quicker though!

I have had the points come in between 12 hours to 5 Days. Not bad at all.

I had one recent Jetstar 3K flight. Waited 3 weeks for the points to post and they didn't. So submitted a missing points claim and it was approved after 4 hours.

Most recent time I flew JQ was June 23rd 2012. After much follow-up, I received my points last week. And this was just a Melbourne - Perth flight! Other times it has been on the same day.

I have had no problems with points posting from JQ flights. They have posted for me as quickly as QF flights, ie/ within a couple of hours.

I'm still waiting on a flight from NTL-BNE on 7 August to credit. I have also done a points claim and sent in my boarding pass but still waiting. Also had flights last Friday and Saturday that are waiting. The annoying thing was that the Aug flight would have made me WP for the first time - thankfully flights on LAN came through quick and made me WP. I'm tired of JQ taking forever to credit.

I am still chasing points for a flight taken in late July. Rang the QFF call centre today, and they asked me to scan and email my boarding pass through to them. Hopefully it will post soon!

Hi - I have a question.

Before I found this sensational website the wife and I booked tickets from Mel - Hamilton Island in December on Deathstar. We booked the cheapest (starter) fares. I noticed the OP mentioned adding a 'starter pack' to get QFF points / SCs. Is it possible to add this to an existing booking? I had a quick look but couldn't see anything. If it is possible, any idea on the cost?
Mainly interested in the SC earn.

Mine took about a week from the first flight, and the second lot posted a day later.

Did yours come through on the same day of the week each time and what day of the week were they?

It could be that they do a batch job on certain day(s) of the week only.

Best to keep an eye on the statement. After over 300+ sectors with J* (weekly commute MCY-SYD-MCY) they can be very late posting.

I flew on a Friday and Sunday; the points came in on a Wednesday and Thursday, so just under two weeks from the first flight.

You need to rebook to get Plus/Max packs, using credit from the original booking less incurred fees from doing this.

Sometimes these fees can be greater than the cost of the original booking.

Best bet is to call and ask.

Early this year my Jetstar points used to post within a day. But for the last few months they've taken forever to post. The worst case was a flight on 11 June that wasn't posted until 20 August (over nine weeks later), and that only because I asked for a "manual force" by sending in my boarding pass.

At this stage mine is 3 weeks and no sign of the points yet. This is the first time I've used Jetstar, and so far ?!?
