JQ88, Friday 28 August 2026's scheduled 0900 hours NTL-DPS (A321 VH-OIR) took off at 0950 so gate arrival looks like 1414 mid afternoon, 39 minutes late.

In more on Friday 28 August, A321 VH-VWN was on JQ973, the afternoon 1535 hours PER-MEL that arrived at 2126 hours, 16 minutes late.

Another aircraft must have failed as this plane then operated JQ974, the 1610 hours MEL-PER that was up up and away at 2256 hours, arriving in Perth at 0038 hours on Saturday 29, 368 minutes late.

Next flight was redeye JQ971, the 2345 hours PER-MEL in the sky at 0212 hours, which arrived MEL at 0749 hours, 149 minutes behind schedule.

JQ502 is its current flight, with this 0730 hours scheduled MEL-SYD airborne at 0956 hours. Gate arrival is expected at 1104 hours, 124 minutes tardy. It should then form JQ509, the 0945 hours SYD-MEL optimistically forecast to push back at 1145 hours.

JQ89, the very late night then redeye from DPS down to NTL in NSW that was scheduled to depart at 2350 hours on Staurday 29 August took off at 0007 hours on Sunday 30, on time with A321 VH-OLU as motive power.

However it diverted to SYD, presumably due to another foggy morning in Newcastle NSW. At 1133 hours, it was airborne from SYD, so arrival in NTL will be around the 1218 hours mark, 278 minutes late.
