Hi there.

Just wondering if anyone has ever seen jetstar do any specials on flights to coughet from sydney? We're planning a trip end of november and are holding out for a jetstar deal to come through the email :) just curious as to whether anyone has seen them do any deals for coughet before to see if it's worth our while waiting.

cheers
james.

Jetstar definitely have deals to coughet. There recent sale included fares that I'm sure were $349 pp one way.

As for the next sale, unfortunately I'm a mind reader yet. ;)

Nope, HKT was not in the recent sale, it hasn't been involved in aJQi "sale" for quite a while... DPS seems to be trending that way too - last sale there wasn't much of a discount on flights there! [So either they are selling enough seats at higher prices and won't bother with a sale on the coughet route, or the pricing/sales are cyclical, in which case HKT should come up soon...] Hopefully a discount just in time for peak season?!?

Current trend is for a JQi sale to advertise 1 route at a good discount, then offer a hand full of other routes at a small discount, and finally, the rest of the routes at regular lead in pricing. :(

The last HKT sale was the "friend for $3" sale which I booked for travel at the end of Nov (ended up being $437 each return).

I wouldn't count on another sale for that time of year at this stage. It's peak season and there fares are probably starting to already creep up.

Try checking TG, they usually offer more competitive fares than JQ's non-sale fares.
