Dirty tricks claim by Jetstar chief - National - NZ Herald News
Jetstar chief executive Bruce Buchanan has accused Air New Zealand of attempting to "sabotage" his airline during its troubled launch in the domestic market.
The Qantas subsidiary has been beset by problems since introducing a New Zealand schedule and expanded trans-tasman service three weeks ago.
Domestic travellers galore have complained about late and cancelled flights, and of being turned away for failing to check in 30 minutes before takeoff.
Claims of rude and unhelpful staff have flooded internet messageboards, and some have accused the airline of overbooking flights, leaving passengers stranded.

But Buchanan said many rumours about Jetstar, including those concerning poor pilots and old, unserviced planes, had been circulated by Air NZ.
And he accused the national carrier of being worried about losing its monopoly on the domestic market.

Nothing new there. That's standard Jetstar procedure. The kiwis will have to get used to it

I have to say that I've flown many times with Jetstar and whilst it hasn't all been "plain sailing" I couldn't complain about the customer service really, the staff I have dealt with have always been polite and tried very hard to be helpful,in fact in many instances I would say that Jetstar staff have been more customer focussed and friendly than Qantas mainline.
Jetstar don't get everything right but I've yet to find an airline anywhere in the world that does .:!:

Maybe the NZ Government should investigate dirty tricks. I'm sure AirNZ will be exonerated. But will Jestar be proven squeaky clean

Smacks of paranoia to me. Clearly they have a series of problems of their own making. Sort them out first.

Who'd have thought...Jetstar in NZ is STILL Jetstar!

Those Kiwis must hate us, the underarm bowl, stealing Phar Lap, Russell Crowe and the Finn Brothers, and now this.
