Welcome to AFF!
Seats 1A/1B are best for couples, with 1E/1F also not bad....the bulkhead means no reclining seats in front of you and you are away from the galley which is front of seats 1J/1K.

Then 1A/B over 1J/K as the sunrise on the 1K window can cook you.
Certainly; however I was replying to th OP's specific situation:Surely that depends on which direction you're flying?! You could equally be cooked in 1A......

Flying generally NE into a sunrise, port side seats avoid the issue.Flying to Hawaii in 2010 with Jetstar in their Star class section.
Any ideas which are their better seats for my husband & self?
Thanks.
Had 3J/3K coming home and found it a bit cramped with video player and woman in front on full recline the whole journey back. Which was a bit unnecessary for a day flight :-(
