We have a BKK to MEL flight next year, booking is via classic reward in business class, its a JQ flight and my status is gold QFF. We'll be in the airport for about 5.5 hours before the flight and wondering if there'd be lounge access included - does anyone know?

From what I've read it appears not, but happy to be wrong! I guess we'll just pay for access if needed, unless the terminal seats are comfy.

Alos, we're only transiting through Bangkok (arriving on a flight from Istanbul earlier in the day), so can't wait it out sitting by the pool/beach unfortunately

Thanks!

Believe No.
You need a "Max" ticket to get lounge access with a JQ flight.
If flying the other way, you'd have access to the QF lounge by virtue of status, but no longer a QF lounge in BKK.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Moa999 is right - classic reward on JQ business does not come with the max bundle so lounge access won't be included.

If you have Gold status with QFF you can certainly access any QF lounge on a JQ flight irrespective of fare type bought. Indeed I've visited the PER QF lounge flying on a $36 return starter fare from SYD. I've also visited the QF Club at HNL (operated by Delta Airways) flying on a JQ Plus fare. However, for lounges operated by OneWorld partners like Malaysian Airlines, you can only access the lounge as a Gold if you are travelling on a OneWorld airline, and JetStar is not part of the OneWorld alliance (despite it being part of the Qantas Group). As others have pointed out a JQ Business Max fare may get you lounge access at BKK, but again it will depend on what lounge arrangements JQ has set up at that airport.
