Per a post in Qantas 321XLR thread, the revised seat map was requested (this was posted by the Jetstar CEO on LinkedIn)

Versus today's layout you lose 27Y seats in the front cabin to be replaced by 23J seats (an extra row on the right with removal of divider).

Then you lose another 6Y seats down back with install of crew rest access and cupboards.

So net loss of 10 seats., but 23 potentially much higher yielding ones.

First of these refurbed aircraft is now expected out in March / April 2026.

Assuming their details are correct its interesting that JQ is going for the current gen of Recaro seats. The PL3530 and the CL3710 (R2) are both current gen models that aren't being equipped in next gen seats like Sunrise.

They're solid seats (economy is the same as current QF 787 Y) and "business" is the PE on many airlines right now.

Just interesting they're not choosing the R3 (Sunrise Y seats) and R4 (successor to PL3530). I wonder if they're trying to differentiate from QF mainline a little more and also maybe the availability of the new model of recaro seats.

Thanks for that. I’ve put some friends in row 44 and was hoping it would still be extra legroom (without the extra legroom charge!)

Wonder if it's worth booking in the economy mini cabin so if you end up on a refurbished plane you might get moved to business class.
Would be interesting to see what criteria they use to do equipment swap op-ups on full flights.

I have to imagine if its not full, they're just going to kick you to another seat.
