Hi,

I am planning on visiting Japan later in the year and I want to use my QFF points for an economy flight, So what I want to know is, Can i fly Japan airlines SYD-NRT-SYD using QFF points? It does not come up in the search results.

Thanks

Yes you can
The QF search engine does not show Japan Airlines, Malaysian flights in the Qantas and Partners Classic Award mode (that's the one you need to use when searching for your flights). You need to ring them and they will be able to tell you if the flights you are after are available and book them

Yes, but you have to call to do it. Availability is generally pretty good, much better than on QF21/QF22.

Thanks for the replies,I will give them a call sometime this week.
Does anyone know how many points it would be?
Thanks again.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Same number as for QF flights. Do a dummy search, choose flights and the result will show you the number of points needed

Would JMB be a good guide in this case ?

Thanks
Not necessarily. JMB will show what's available to their own members and this does not necessarily equals to what is available to partner airlines

Thanks. That's similar to CX (MPC) vs OW award space.

I should just add that 84,000 points + cash probably isn't all that good value for a return that's not all that expensive generally... unless you have some particularly expensive dates in mind.
