This is typical of JAL - they've done this for the last few seasons when the 777 has ended up on the SYD route. They firstly list the aircraft on the schedule and load a seatmap with F seats, but with F0 A0 inventory until they are reasonably confident of operating an F cabin. The moment F>1 they generally also load 1-2 A seats per day, so set your EF alerts accordingly
They are doing this as the 777s are slated for retirement, but the exact dates are still unclear for late 2026 and largely dependant on external factors - particularly the delivery of their international A350s, which will free up 787s, which may end up back on the SYD route.
