It is disputed that those comments were made.

Now it’s blown up she’s switched into full blown damage control.

Suspect the CCTV just shows her attacking the staff, might not have audio which means it’s the staffs account v hers so she might feel safe denying it.....

She is just a politician after all...

Qantas has agreed in their statement that the homophobic slur wasn’t part of the rant.

The key to my thinking is: when she is travelling as a senator, she is not an individual, she is the voice of thousands of Tasmanians.

Well actually the voice of Clive Palmers millions of dollars of advertising, and the preference harvesting of many hundreds of preferences that get churned through various minor parties like the Pirate Party, Katter, Rise Up, the Sex Party etc and individual candidates before ending up with Senators.

Well actually ...
Over 31K Tasmanian first preference senate votes in the 2019 federal election were either directly for her (Lambie or the "Lambie Network [above the line] Ticket").

A quota for that election was a little over 50K and of the preferences Lambie received to reach that quota, 10K came from Liberal and Labor.

Clive bankrolls his own party.
You are mixing him up with Glen Druery - the preference whisperer. He doesn't deal with real parties such as Katter and Lambie but with micro parties.Quite successfully too with seats in the NSW and WA Upper houses and Ricky Muir in the Senate.

Just to clarify Re Palmer. Lambie was first elected running under Palmer’s party, receiving about 7% first preferences. Fell out with him (surprise) and went independent, then formed her own party.

After much messiness over the ‘dual citizenship thing, had to resign, but subsequently was Re elected.

"I have apologised to the staff for my actions, and I’d like to do so again.

I’ll take whatever punishment Qantas throws at me. I’ve done the crime and I’ll do the time, because that’s what I deserve."

Putting aside on the issues and where she stands regarding those issues, when was the last time when you heard a pollie admit / apologise for anything?

Just listen to:
- Health Minister Greg Hunt stonewalling Sabra Lane on ABC AM just 2 days ago;
- Trade and Tourism Minister Dan Tehan telling David Speers to 'look over there' on ABC Insider this morning.

Given the way the ABC interviews conservative politicians, if you can get away with a 'stonewall', it's some sort of victory. Ditto on Insiders.

Yes it’s really awful when they get asked super tough questions like ‘exactly what language to do you use when you abused the Qantas staff?’.... :)
