J/PLAT lounges

I'm pretty sure that the answer to this question is going to be no...
But what is the likelihood of some J/plat lounges in the future. I always thought that there was no room in the main airports but with the MEL expansion, SYD t2 QC closing & new CBR terminal there would possibly be some room?

I'd prefer to talk it over a scotch in a lounge that served spirits and wasn't as crowded

I`d say your chances are slim to none and slim just walked out of town.

Considering that the new CBR lounges just opened and there was no J lounge, the answer is no it's not going to happen anytime soon that's for sure.

The fact that Virgin have the same boring food for well over 18 months in their lounges is one of the main reasons I won't fly them unless there is a huge price difference to Qantas.

Then the low-end wines and no spirits and it's a fail for me. I fly MEL/CBR/SYD mostly so the QF J lounges at these locations suit me more than the VA lounges.

I'll happily pay up to about 30% more to fly Qantas as a result, for the added benefit of food/spirits/quiet lounges
