Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

The comped status was worth just over 9000 points (the extra Status Bonus WPs earn over and above SG). It also allowed me to access the AA Flagship Lounge in LAX (and guest my colleague) when connecting through on US domestic flights. Given that I haven't yet reached my 1200 SC renewal point, the comped status is also useful so my wife and I can access various domestic Business Lounges when flying in a few weeks time.

Great outcome for both you and Qantas!

I guess the only thing you missed out on is if you had dropped to Gold is 2 free extra years of Platinum, but it would only apply if you wouldn't otherwise obtain 1,200 SC next year. (For those who will quip '2 free years of plat?!' = the remainder of the year you obtain the higher status level + 3 year average rule on downgrading = max up to 2 extra years)
