It's embarrassing how bad the QF website is

Quite apart from the ongoing problems with the calculators, the View/Change/Cancel button in My Bookings hasn't allowed you to Change or Cancel for at least 2 months, and now I notice the Upgrade button is also broken ("Sorry, the site is experiencing difficulties. Try again later." has been the response for at least a week).

Has Qantas not had any work experience kids in lately or something?

One annoyance.

Looking at awards from SIN to HND. Nice, there's availability on (say) June 26:

So I click on "Continue" and get:

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

A slight twist when I try SIN to ICN:

Clicking on the 19th and then "Continue" moves it to the centre of the calendar, but does nothing else:

These faults have been there for at least a year now.

And then there's the Jetstar trick:

So what are my options in J and F?

I made two bookings on the QF website this morning but had to go through the complete booking process four times to do so. On each booking, the QF booking system failed on the step just prior to conformation.

The QF website is just slow in general. Every time it tries to do something, the computer stops doing anything until the QF site has finished loading. This only happens with the QF site and on multiple computers.

Not that I ever end up flying QF post MASA's but use their website a fair bit to still compare and check availability.
Actually find the QF website OK to use, particularly when compared with VA, SQ, EY, CX, BA & EL sites used for bookings in recent times.

Yep. I've experienced worse.

The change button issue isn't all bookings - only selected bookings is what I am finding. No issues with using the upgrade button but it's slow.

El Al's website is the worst! QF.com.au is amazing in contrast...

Please, anyone who wants to treasure the website of their choice, needs just to spend a few hours usuing the LAN website. It is actually quicker and less frustrating to walk/swim to your destination.

I can't comment on any other websites, but what galls me about the qantas website, was that as I remember it, it was OK, apart from its enthusiasm for crashing, so that you would have to start all over again.
Then they asked on this forum for opinions and suggestions......
Apart from being both enhanced and simpler and fairer,( in other words, I can't remember a soul saying they prefer the new one, but maybe it's the silent majority) so that's it now much less use friendly...

It still crashes!

And I have noticed just this weekend, that the qantas points app is deteriorating.

The error messages should read "Sorry. This site is managed by Qantas IT. Don't bother trying again; it won't be any better".

What's been annoying me lately is that OLCI no longer works properly on my desktop, iPad or iPhone. I've been getting error messages ranging from "your booking contains dangerous goods, check in at airport" to "you are already checked in, go away, you're not allowed in again" (slightly paraphrased). It used to work perfectly fine, and it used to be perfectly fine to check in on a mobile device and then go back in again later on the desktop to print out a boarding pass. Not any longer apparently.

Even simple things - like the front page, trying to do a search and that stupid childrens pop up keeps happen as you are trying to do it. Annoying!
