Quite a leap on the part of the writer. The crash in Indonesia was pilot error... The latest accident would seem to be from an incredibly hard landing (actually a couple), which is also most likely pilot error. The MAX on the other hand.....

Apart from the horrendous fire, the other thing I noted was the number of passengers carrying their cabin bags with them,. Same old, same old :(
 
On reading the article they relied somewhat on Boeing expertise and distributed manufacturing model.
