Hi punters!
I am currently in the US and have a Delta return flight booked in First class from LAX-RDU for which I will be getting some unknown Velocity Points. I have an option to buy AA First Class and for around $1000 ($1700 with tax back) I would pass the points required for Platinum status credit..
I wonder if people think this is a worthwhile 'investment'. I will be flying Qantas mainly domestic 2-3 times a month and will probably have 2-3 international flights to US/India and Europe for next year. Flying likely from BNE so no SYD or MEL first lounges for me . One advantage I see is that with only 1200 SC required to maintain Platinum, this would be easier to do...
