I was under the impression that it should be however I am greeted with:

[h=1]Upgrade - not available[/h] An upgrade is not available on this itinerary due to one or more of the following reasons.

  • not operated by Qantas
  • restricted or heavily discounted airfare (for example, Red e-Deal flight) or a Classic Award purchased with Frequent Flyer points
  • does not have an upgradeable class
  • a discounted Business Class airfare
  • a prize ticket or a promotional offer
  • part of a group booking. Contact a Qantas Office for an upgrade
  • a voucher for future travel
  • already flown
  • Not a flight sector

I believe a JASA at classic rates is booked in "U" class.

You have to call to register for an an upgrade from ZASA (Premium Economy) to Business.

No fee should be mentioned or payable due to the online tools failure with this.
