Ok here's the situation,On Friday I booked and paid for a 7 day break in Brisbane in late March/early April, rather stupidly I booked two seperate sectors, one on QF metal from ABX to SYD and the other with JQ from SYD to BNE,I don't know what I was thinking when I did this because I've only just realised (Well derr!) that no QF points are earned on JQ Jetsaver fares ,not only that but I have to collect bags at Sydney when I could spend the time better in the QP,so the question now is do I bite the bullet and rebook the SYD to BNE sectors on QF for a cost of $158.00 ,earn the 2000 points and not have to collect bags?,it will of course cost me the fare I have already paid for the JQ flight -$178.00 as it's not refundable, what are peoples thoughts-is 2000 points worth spending an extra $158.00,is 2000 points worth $336.00?
BTW if I do change it will mean an extra four hours in Syd as the first flight available at the $79.00 fare on QF is QF 548 at 19:05.so I would have to waste a bit of time in Syd.
