iPhone app for forum

Ok so I didn't explain myself. Not a case of being annoyed or whatever. The issue is the App puts up a list of threads (yes we all know this). I go through those threads and read what I want, refresh, read some more. But then eventually get to a point where all that is showing in the top 20 are threads I don't care to read. Surei can go to the bottom and load more threads, but The top 20 remain the same. I could "mark as read" but that marks everything as read including anything outside the top 20.

So I want to be able to swipe a thread to mark that thread only as read and have it disappear. For example the thread on successful USAir redemptions. Ok I need to know that exists but I don't what to waste time actually reading the thread to get rid of it from my view.

Clearly some of you are better people than me. [no I'm not going to use smilies to convey tone or intent of that comment. More entertaining if the read decides my tone and intent for themselves]

In settings, turn Unread Behaviour "On". While you will still have to load the thread to remove it, when you go back to the latest posts screen, it will be removed from the list, until a new post is made. I think that’ll help you.

Thanks. I do currently have that setting turned off and that is slightly annoying with the new app. But not annoying enough for me to fix it. Personally, I still wish for "swipe" functionality so that I don't have to load a thread to make it disappear. But while that is not available your advice is the most pragmatic solution.
 
Just noticed that when you click on someone's profile whilst refreshing it states that the member in question has been banned :eek:

Yes, the Virgin sponsorship period is now over. The new version does not have the Virgin Logo on the Intro page. Also login via the App is restricted to AFF GOLD and SILVER members (as before sponsorship). The old (sponsored) version will work for a few more days to give all our members time to download the new (unsponsored) version.

On the main page for the App I am getting there are no new threads to view, any ideas what I am doing wrong.

Going away tomorrow for 27 hours and I would hate to miss anything important on AFF.

I occasionally get a gremlin. Normally fixed by turning the phone off and back on again.
