Hi all
Air Niugini BNE - POM - BNE — Trip Reports Forum | Airliners.net
Someone has just posted, on airliners.net, a report of a trip BNE-POM and return on Air Niugini. Have done this lot of times and looks like a pretty typical trip. Gives you a good idea what you can expect. Flight time generally 2.45 to 3.00.
The aircraft on the way up is the 'old' 767, with its leather seats. On the way back its the 'new' 767 with fabric seats. Pictures marked 'Fancy ay ? ! ! !' are the 'premium J' and J respectively in the 'new' 767. I have no idea how you get into the 'premium J' cabin; its not sold separately, probably because they are constantly subbing one 767 for the other. Have heard it called that by others but never any reference to it from anything PX.
Also hadn't noticed the Varig logo on the seat belts; the 'new' 767 also has an Etihad logo appear regularly on the IFE screen. Obviously its been around!
Cheers skip
