I did post this over at FT, but got limited replies.

Anyway, here go.

Im sure this has been covered a million times before but what class does International Flexi-Saver fit into.

On the QF site, when booking LAX-BNE One Way - with a Flexi-Saver fare it states - "Classed as Economy for Status Credit Earn"

So does this mean its a discount Y fare* as only Y fares earn full SC's.
and therefore is allocated to full economy miles for upgrade ie LAX-BNE for 45,000 instead of D.E 72,000 for Super-Saver.

Thanks
Robert

I called QF here in N.A and the nice lady confirmed it was a K fare with full SC's but need D.E miles to upgrade to business. :?
Hmmmm, anyway.

Here is the page I'm having problems with:
http://www.qantas.com.au/regions/dyn/amadeus/minirules/USAAUFLEX

It clearly says "Classed as Economy for Status Credit Earn". To add further confusion to this, if I go ahead and purchase the ticket, the 'Flight Conditions' on the purchase page also says the same.

I know and have been reminded many times that only full Y gets economy SC's for Intl, but there seems to be some problem here.

Thinking I should book this ticket and fight it out with QF for full SC's and a 45,000 upgrade to J.

What does everybody else think?

Given the Summary Page lists this as the "Highest" level of economy, it may indeed give full SC's.

However, according to this from the QF web site: Status Credits, if it books into K class you would get SC's as for discount economy. "... For international flights, including domestic flights within New Zealand, Discount Economy includes classes B, G, H, K, L, M, N, O, Q, R, S, V, W.".

There appears to be a definite contradiction within this, so if you do book this and it does book into K class, I would keep copies of all documentation indicating Economy SC's for your booking.

This fare is discount economy for SC, and discount economy for upgrades.

I wasn't asking if a K fare got full economy SC's or DE upgrades.

The point of my post was QF ask me to agree "I have read and accept the Fare Conditions above" and the fare conditions on a USA-AU Flexi-Saver says " Classed as Economy for Status Credit Earn"

serfty suggested I give them a call in OZ, which im going to do.

I find it amazing that I cannot be the first person in the world who wants to or has booked a USA-AU Flexi-Saver fare where it clearly states incorrect information, and QF hasn't fixed it.

But hey, if they leave it there and I book, I will be getting exactly what QF has asked me to agree upon before purchasing this fare.
