Well, if it's like you say and you never receive upgrades at IC Sydney, then assuming it's not on the exclusion list, you're entitled to either 10K points or USD50 Restaurant & Bar or spa credit, as per their terms and conditions.

I actually never knew of the compensation for the non-delivery of the complimentary upgrade. Interesting how the hotel check-in staff are quick to tell me there are no upgrades but miss the part where they might inform me that there is compensation on points instead.

Booked: 1 King Bed Standard
Received: 1 King Bed Panoramic River View Club lounge access
Amenity offered: Drinks or points.

On checking in was welcomed back after a two year absence apparently! Nice standard room overlooking the oval, having once got one of the top floor suites I have been living in hope ever since.
Did not go to the lounge at all. Was able to take breakfast in the restaurant which was exceptional in terms of variety, quality and service. Key was coded for a 4PM checkout with any request.

Turndown service no longer comes with Fruchocs, luckily the mini bar does.

Room has seen the addition of a power board beside the bed and one on the desk, both providing 2 x AC ports and some USB A ports. Very happy with my stay and will be back soon.

I presume the Fruchocs in the mini bar are chargeable? Or are you referring to using the Ambassador credit to redeem them?

They're $18 (currently also at IC Adelaide)
