Based on booking from the website this is what I have:

IDDAD 10% Advance Purchase
IDDBF 10% Best Flexible
IDDAB 10% Advanced Booking
IDPMC 25% Certificate 1-Off included in Package

Anyone know the difference between Advance Purchase and Advance Booking would be helpful!

I've tried to find what code they use in the Dining Rewards program, but javen;t worked out what it is yet!

All i know is all of the above seem to be more expensive than the standard promotional rates on the website, let alone any discount corporate rates you may have access to.

I was promised 2x50 vouchers but only 1 was loaded.... Sigh
The same with me. From memory I could only see one voucher online.

As you may be aware I managed to get credit for both as there was an issue with processing and it was done manually.

The sales people are promising benefits the system cannot handle and the call centre us not aware what's been promised.

Does anyone know when the 25% of physical (black and gold) certificate expires from the IHG Dining Rewards package ..there are some small codes/numbers on back but none look like a date?

Is there any advantage to joining over the phone for AUD $319 rather than online for USD $225 (AUD $291 app)?

It would seem from reading the FAQs that I should be able to book the free night for whatever date I wish - no restrictions - would that be correct?

Has the price gone up for the dining rewards ?

According to dining rewards website (sorry cannot post links as I am new here) it says price is $385 USD ? In just over a month it has gone up by $160 USD ??

Still showing A$319 / US$225.

I called to join today. Was offered $279 (as opposed to the $319 mentioned on the site) with a $50 voucher. That worked for me

Stayed last Saturday night at Warwick Farm HI ( on a PB offer of 5,000 points per room ).

They accepted the IHG Dining Rewards $50. eVoucher OK.

Only a 'manager' seemed to be able to 'authorise' and process my Member card.

A few of the 'Rules', I was advised of ( by a hotel manager ) ...

Using the e-Voucher, the customer must settle the account at point-of-service. The balance can then be attributed to the room account ( and paid on Check Out ).
You can't use the e-Voucher, and also claim the card's 25% Discount. It's one or the other.
Each customer needs to decide on how to best use their privileges ...
On occasions, you will be better off using the 25% Discount ( and keeping the $50. e-Voucher for another 'situation' ).

As an example, I used my $50. e-Voucher at the Hotel Bar, where we had a $64. drinks bill. I only needed to pay $14. ( which went onto my Room account ).
If I were to have used the 25% Discount, I would have paid $48.

I received a parcel of IHG Reward Points for my PB Rewards stay. Obviously no points for rooms, but I did get close to 5,000 points for food / drinks from the Stay.

Was the $50 voucher an extra one? So essentially you have got 2 x $50 vouchers? $75 worth of food credit. That is pretty good. Is then pretty much 'buying' a night for $200.

No just the standard one I'm afraid

Called up this arvo and got offered the same $279. I said I had to 'think about it' and left my phone number with them. So will see if they call back and offer any sweeteners.

Should be able to squeeze them for an extra $50 voucher.

Well he called back, and I umm'd and ah'd to try and prompt something else but no offer of any other sweeteners. If I get a call back on Monday I will ask straight out. Otherwise I think I might go with it anyway as the free night should pay for itself!

Why don't you tell them that your friend got offered two $50 vouchers and only paid $269?;)

They've rung me numerous times and I have definitely been offered the extra $50 voucher and the discount (can't remember the amount but around the $270 mark). Try telling them that last time you were rung, you were offered the additional voucher and you'll do the deal if they offer it again.

You should also be aware that, other than the free room night, the remaining benefits (dining vouchers, room discounts, etc.) are only available "at participating hotels" which are quite limited and non existent in many countries.

Also, if you are an old fart like me, you will find that (where available) the senior discount rate is often better value than the 10% & 25% accommodation rates offered for the dining rewards members.

OTOH, it is my understanding that the dining discount and voucher can be used even when you are not staying at the "participating hotel", although I haven't been able to check this out because there are none near where I live or recently travelled.
