Has anyone accessing VA lounge in Perth with a Single Pass (complimentary one from ANZ card), ever been asked for ID check? Or is showing boarding pass enough?

cheers!

Yes, they ask for id/BP as a rule of thumb.
Need to know the person who is entering, is flying I presuppose.
In the past when I had the annual pass, I paid that $300 for an annual pass as a VFF PS, when I flew more, I could just go to that chest/shoulder high reader, scan my card, and say/tell the system how many guest entering, using the machine, it didn't ask for id.
Nowadays, with my pay per entry, fly less now, even if you tell them you want to buy an entry, they will ask for a BP.

@AustraliaPoochie,
Thanks for responding , Mate. Showing BP is fine, just wondering if Its necessary to carry a passport around (my daughter doesnt have driver license) for identification at the lounge while traveling domestic

How old is she?
If high school, photo id for school is enough.
If older, go to your state's dept of transport and ask for proof of age card.
Work id with photo?
I don't drive either, my proof of age with photo and home address also good for checking into some hotels.
I don't carry my passport for Au domestic travel.
But if you don't want to get proof of age, BP should be enough.
They have never asked me for photo id at the Lounge desk.
Some hotels though do demand photo id.

If she was on her own and looked under 18, they may need to do the normal licensed premises stuff. Otherwise, no real need.

Oh, I see.
Apologies.
If she is travelling with an adult, they would not make a fuss, have seen kids in the VAd MEL/SYD/BNE/PER business lounges, many many many times, (on different occasions/times of course).
The staff, when I am entering, and kids with parents are before me, the staff never ask to see kids ids, they just ask for all the BPs in the party, as they scan that onto their red light thing, they must get some revenue from VA for allowing people into the lounge, and of course, also to make sure there are no :< "lounge lizards" coming into the lounge, and not flying.
Don't worry!
**If she was travelling alone, at 10, then it would be a worry!**

Great info! I think we are set now 🙂 the worst can happen is just being refused entry. No biggie 😆 thank you again for your help @AustraliaPoochie! Merry Christmas!

@oz_mark : she is traveling with us. Planning to use the Single Lounge Pass for her

How are you getting into the lounge? If you've got status or lounge membership then you can get your child in for free. No need to burn a lounge pass. No guests if flying J, but if you're in J I'd assume your 10 year old is too... Virgin Australia's Airport Lounges | Virgin Australia

Also as per other replies, I've taken my kids into the domestic VA lounges on many occasions and never had to show any ID. Just the boarding passes.

@MattA ; sorry for late reply. It seems that My husband is the one who will be traveling with her, and he will be using his Amex Velocity to get in.
