I love flying, but dread flying economy.

The only thing that seating has is being close to the booze cabinet....I hope

You get used to it after the first 20 or so long-haul flights.......

Dont worry, in three hours you wont be able to feel your legs. unless you hit the booze, in which case, cut that to no more than two.

I survived! It was cloudy all the way so the window was pointless. Alas, there were no aisle seats available when i checked in at 3.5 hours before the flight. My fluid intake was seriously limited due to needing to interrupt two people to get out.

Overall, it was ok.

Ps. Incase you didn't realize, this was really just a bored and frustrated rant posted while wedged in a corner.

I'm now sitting on the freeway in peak hour traffic, so it may well be one form of the afterlife...

Wasn't that long ago I was just happy being on a plane!

Although, I've moved up closer to the coughpit, I still get a buzz traveling whether it's by planes, trains or automobiles. I often fly with friends for all sorts of reasons & I'm more than happy to sit down the back and enjoy the company.....mates, holidays & alcohol are fantastic aids in assisting one to forget about evil 1st world problems;)

That's a bit like saying you get used to VD after the first 20 or so infections...

Not a bad simile, both get less painful and you become more accepting of the conditions the more frequently it occurs.......

(Disclaimer; although I have been screwed many times by flying in Y, I have never experienced the other.....)

Y is not that bad, you do get used to it.*

*The poster is in fact lying it is utterly dreadful, you never get used to it, and alcohol is the only crutch to get through it.

5 hours, one can of Tiger Beer. You can see my problem.

If I have to fly to the UK in Y again, and it is looking increasingly likely that I will, I'll be including half a dozen mini's in my liquids and gels!!!!
