I finally got around to applying for this card and and was approved instantly...but have to present myself at an HSBC with 100 points of ID. I presume this is because I am a pom. Since there is no HSBC branch where I live I am left with queuing up at the Post Office.

For me personally this makes the process significantly more irritating than even Citibank. As always...YMMV.

Received my first accrued points for this, but have not yet received my first statement in the mail.

No bonus points yet.

Same here, first statement came in 1.5 weeks back, points from spend were transferred but no bonus points. Hoping for next month.

Yes should be at the 2 month limit:

'Bonus 60,000 Qantas Points offer is available to HSBC Platinum Qantas Credit Card holders who make an eligible purchase within 3 months of applying for their card. Points will ordinarily be credited within 2 months of making an eligible purchase.'

Hi All,
Also note that HSBC are running a 25% bonus point offer until the end of the year- makes for a really sweet deal

Interesting, what is this 25% bonus? I was waiting a bit for next application, but maybe not ...

Month 2 statement just came in, no bonus points yet. Pretty sure 2 Dec will be the month they arrive.

It's 2 months after eligible purchase. If they haven't done this time to start harassing them.

Yeah damn, looks like I missed the 2 months by a few days, il wait till next statement before I call them up.

Dr Ralph you think once the points post on the card cancelling and re-applying will work to get the points all over again.

Yes.

I have done this with other offers via Jetstar (Macquarie).

However, I'm yet to try this with HSBC.

But, what about the other offers like St George instead?

Completely forgot about that one, thanks, added to the spreadsheet.

Keep us posted. Sounds like I am about a fortnight behind you so keen to know what to expect.

In my experience with this card, the Bonus points posted on the 3rd month/cycle after the card was opened. I hit the qualifying spend in the first two weeks of having the card, but I found HSBC took their maximum time to transfer the points (unlike say AMEX)

as always YMMV

I have recently applied and received the card.

I was impressed by how easy it was. I applied and within a few days was sent an email saying I was approved. My previous cards (with Qudos bank and Jetstar/macquarie) were drawn out experiences with the banks trying to contact my employer etc.

I shouldn't be far from reaching the $3k in the first month, so will have to wait for the bonus to come through.

Had a HSBC card (and still have a HSBC USD account). But then just like Citibank they started changing the rules. No ATO payments, max 2500pts a month. So goodbye HSBC card...

I too spent the 3k in the first month (3.5k spend) however after receiving the 2nd bill (for $0) the bonus points are yet to come through. Will call them this week as Qantas has a 15% bonus in November for any points transferred. ANZ Bonus + HSBC bonus will get be a nice 20k extra points if HSBC hurry up!

Just called HSBC to ask if the points can be manually transferred so that I could get the Qantas 15% credit card transfer bonus, but he said there is no way to manually transfer, and listed my 3rd billing cycle date as the date I'll get the points - mid December :(

However he also said that the first 2.5k is 1:1 points, and after that it's 0.5:1 and that I didn't "achieve the 3,000 points yet, so aren't eligible for the bonus points." And it took me 3 times explaining that it doesn't matter about the general credit card's points system, I just needed to spend $3k to get the bonus points before he agreed, and said I'm eligible for the bonus points. He had me worried for a few minutes!
