How to properly wash your hands ( hint anti virus)

just ignore the twit trying to be funny.

Excellent, thank you. This is the picture version for those who don’t have time to watch the video. We are taught how to wash our hands like this at work.

Public bathrooms will have to adjust the manner in which soap is dispensed. If we are to get enough soap/gel to properly cover hands then you’d be pumping the bottle so many times. And sometimes even that won’t work. Let alone the fact that dirty unwashed fingers are doing the pumping. The automatic dispensers are obviously the best and now they should become mandatory. And doors to the outside to be opened by a large button on the wall that can be enacted by elbows and the like. I hate opening the bathroom door once I’ve washed my hands and I see if I can scoot in behind someone else who has. Otherwise it’s grab an extra paper towel. And don’t get me started on those blowers.

Can’t we just carry a bottle of hand sanitizer?
If you can buy it. My Coles and Woolies have been out of stock for at least a month (because Ive been looking) and they only stock on forecast and no one saw this coming.

First Aid suppliers are running low or out of stock and coworkers local chemist is restricting them to 2 per person purchase about a week ago (theyre flying out to Sri Lanka this weekend). Ive been buying where I can so keep the small bottles so you can refill from a larger bottle.

Ive been buying 1ltr bottles where I can because I also stock my office.

elbows to pump the soap, paper towels to operate the taps and open the exit door . Just drop the paper, as the video says,

Maybe the dispensers are configured differently in men's bathrooms but my elbows won't reach that far and up across the basin let alone be able to push down.

Soap and water is better.

The most important step is to thoroughly dry your hands - germs can‘t survive without moisture. Where possible I use paper towels then finish with air dryer.

Oh - and if you use a towel to open the door then don’t be a grub - drop it in a garbage bin, not the floor.

But annoyingly many facilities don't supply one right by the door!

Please don't use air dryers.
They are basically germ aerosols.
And the "genius" Dyson type are the worst.
Low temperature and high velocity.
It's as if they were designed by a sociopath to aggravate a future pandemic.
And the future is now.

It has all been getting stolen within hours of getting restocked.

I use a high grade Clorhex gel when working around horses with bugs.
Chemist warehouse sold out weeks ago and it is hard to find for a sensible price
