I just checked my wallet and found 22:

2 x ID cards
4 x debit/credit cards
5 x loyalty/discount cards
3 x frequent flyer cards
3 x health benefit cards (one outdated, to be fair)
2 x travel cards
1 x library card
1 x investment plan card
1 x Seniors Card (okay, okay, I'm an old fart)

We got by without any not so long ago. Okay, own up, how many?

4 x credit cards
2 x frequent flyer cards
2 x hotel cards
2 x car hire cards

(just the travel related ones)

3 x Visa
1 x DL
1 x Medicare
1 x Hilton
1 x Rydges
1 x IC
1 x QF
1 x VA
1 x NZ
1 x Construction Industry

12

I'm not even counting the mini tags I have on my keyring. Another four there.

8, I should carry more but my current wallet only fits 8. So that's it. Doesn't matter what they are does it?

1 x QF
1 x VA
1 x 28 MC
1 x EDR MC
1 x HH
1 x Medicare
1 x HCF
1 x AMP EFTPOS
1 x NSW DL

Interesting thread.

1 x MC debit
1 x Visa debit
1 x MC CC
1 x University ID
1 x QFF card
1 x Drivers license
1 x sports membership (Perth Glory :))
1 x SmartRider (transport smart card)

I did recently cut down with the acquisition of a new wallet. When I go travelling I tend to add whichever hotel loyalty cards I may require (i.e. whichever chain I am staying in, I will bring that particular card)

I'm not sure but it is way too many :!:

I agree wholeheartedly..!!! but I have to plead guilty to having bought a new wallet recently which has the capacity of holding twenty-something cards, and with all the gift type cards you get these days (and I'm not a shopper, so are hanging around longer than they would for others . . . must get onto them or they'll expire . . . that would be a bit sad) anyway . . . I have to admit it is overfull eek..!!!

and further to my post above . . . I know if I took any out, I would forget to put them back in when I needed them :oops:

Another reason why "Up in the Air" is one of my favorite movies.

I have my everyday wallet - an International Shirt Pocket Briefcase - and it has sixteen or so. Just the main ones. For traveling, I have a bright red Roads Scholar, also from Levenger, and that holds all the hotel, car rental and other loyalty cards, as well as passport, boarding passes, itinerary, booking confirmation for next hotel, hire car etc. Never leaves my sight, hence the colour. There would be another twenty in there. Only four minis on my key ring. NRMA, Panera, two supermarket loyalty (Supabarn down the street and Marina Safeway).

On a normal day:

* 2x Visa credit
* 2x Amex (one direct, one companion)
* QSCU debit Visa (my day to day banking)
* QF FF
* Medicare
* Private health
* Gym

If travelling I'll go to my travel wallet and grab it (or some cards out of it). It has my passport, an array of hotel and other loyalty cards, local transport cards (Myki, Go Card, etc) plus my backup credit card.

Normal wallet:
1x Visa debit
QF FF
Velocity FF
Priority Club
QLD Vehicle Licence
MSIC
FOET
Medicare
Private Hospital
Union Card
Organ Donor

Travel Wallet:
KrisFlyer
Skywards
Marriot
(Another) Union Card
2x Super Cards
STCW95
2x High Risk Licence
Working at Heights

When will they bring in a Passport card?

I try to keep my day to day wallet as empty as possible - I don't buy a wallet with more than six slots and two "pockets".

I am currently carrying two too many cards being my Amex CC and my QFF card. Apart from that cards are swapped in and out as needed. I have a bundle of reward cards in my laptop bag and they only come out if needed.

1 x Amex
1 x MC
1 x Drivers Licence
1 x MBF
1 x Medicare
1 x NDSS (Diabetes card thing)
1 x VA plat card
1 x RSL membership :)

So 8, but will go up everynow and then as I add the Hilton and Hertz cards in and out when I travel.

My wallet fits 10, I keep what I expect to need in that - I have a secondary wallet which I keep in my bag with another 20 or so. I vary the distribution depending on what I am doing and where/when I am doing it.

If I am travelling QF, my WP card is in my main wallet and my Velocity Card is in may secondary. Vice-verse if traveling VA. Same with Hotels, rentals cars etc.

For CC/Banking if Overseas, I'd have just the 28°, Visa and an Amex in my wallet, rest in secondary.

16. But only because I can't fit any more in. So I have a second smaller wallet for traveling to accommodate the extra cards.
However priority is given to any card that enhances my points earning ability
