How long before the 75 status credit get posted (ANZ Freq Flyer Black)

Hi Everyone,

I would need your help to appropriately time my usage of this 75 SC offer on the ANZ black card.

How long did it take for the sc to be posted on your qantas account?
My goal, of course, is to get them posted in the membership year of my choice (in my case, I need to fly before the end of my membership year, and I hope that the SC gets posted in my new membership year.

While slightly off-topic but fitting with the 75 bonus SC's subject, I was interested to know what exactly would constitute an eligible booking to trigger the SC's. The trick was that I have Qantas GV's which earn DSC's and wanted to time the bonus SC's to the next membership year. The card T&C's are ambiguous about whether paying the balance of an existing PNR to get it ticketed would qualify.

According to a card specialist at ANZ, the bonus SC's are received only for a new booking, i.e. when a new booking reference (PNR) is created after the card application has been approved and the flights have been paid in full using the card. The bank seems to be interested only in whether the PNR was created before or after the application was approved. Happy about that because I can pay for the balance of my existing GV's freely until it's time to pull the trigger for the 75 bonus SC's.

I think I can answer this for you now after having asked the question myself a while ago and never gained a response. The 75 bonus SC credited effective the date of the second QF flight and it was only a matter of two days later that it hit my account. This worked perfectly for me as I wanted them to credit to my new membership year.

What hasn't checked out is that the SC haven't made a dent in my LTG tally even though the T&Cs don't exclude them - it only states that bonus SC will not contribute towards attaining or retaining P1 or Loyalty Bonus. I think this will take a call to the QF WP line to resolve.

I got a bit of a run around with a suggestion that the bonus SC don't apply to LT tallies but with a promise to call me back with a definitive answer the next day, which didn't happen. I called again and was told to send screenshots of the various locations my SC show on my account. I think I'll also send them the T&Cs that applied when I lodged my card application. Will let you know how I get on.

Hi @mick, what was the response when you followed up? I got my 75 SCs posted today but lifetime total doesn't include it. I redeemed gift vouchers when I booked and paid for the flights so they didn't post automatically after the second flight was taken, I was told to wait the full 10 weeks by ANZ and then followed it up with them a couple of times with the flight details.

Sorry for the late reply with this - despite all the evidence I presented, the final answer was that no, the bonus 75 SC do not count towards your LT tally and they weren't going to budge. I had to concede I wasn't going to get anywhere with this, as I had already spent a considerable amount of time providing proof and explaining myself to several different agents. We have agreed to disagree. I'm still 3 years away from LTG so the 75 SC would have been handy.

I was waiting for this offer to come around again as I have sat out my 12 month holiday.

I truly hope you're successful in persuading QF their T&Cs didn't exclude the bonus 75 SC from counting towards the LT tally. Keen to hear how you get on.

I think that this will open a huge can of worms as the bonus SCs have not counted for anyone else and I'd be surprised to see them change that now.
