I’m the past I stayed the the Pier Autograph Collection near the Harbour view during NYE and had decent views, albeit I paid for the $200 catering package as well. I am guessing a hotel near the Harbour bridge is the best although I’d be curious whether something in Darling Harbour might make sense like the W or Sofitel.

I stayed at the Pier one back in 2021 and I just walked out 5 mins before the fireworks and saw them, there were like no crowds - probably covid and the international borders being closed helped
