How does Accor treat you as an Elite guest?

A word of warning - the lower category rooms are TINY - 14sqm if I recall correctly.

Would highly recommend at least a mid category if you can.
Agreed - from memory there was also no cupboard/wardrobe in the room, and no iron or board. Instead you had a (very artistic) metal frame to hang clothes, and a steamer.

Stayed two nights at Sofitel Sydney Wentworth over the weekend. I have seen so many good post-reno reviews, but I thought it was nice without being outstanding.

LOVED the Club Millesime. It had a great vibe, good food and drinks, and is a visually pleasant space. 10/10 on that.

I liked the masculine feel of my room, although was disappointed in no upgrade. No biggie though. No turn down on the first night which I queried the next morning, to be told it occurs by request only.

Good selection for welcome drinks, and the hotel is in a great location.

What disappointed me a little was that I told the hotel in advance that I was there to celebrate my (primary aged) daughter’s birthday. I asked if they could maybe acknowledge her in the welcome card - I didn’t expect anything beyond that. No welcome card existed, and no recognition at all of her birthday. Again, it’s not a huge deal but it’s not what I hoped for.

Next Sydney trip (November) I’m trying Hotel Morris for the first time.
Good to hear that the new lounge has improved on the old one.

Not quite such a bump as two weeks ago, but super lovely luxury corner room with more than ample space for a lazy Saturday

Darned amazing chocolate mousse cake in the lounge today. Trust me to forget a photo of that though.

Keen to see the spread for canapes... and if they have any cognac left after I am done tonight...
