Thankfully I haven’t had too many times where I’ve needed to complain much but when I have I always receive a reply and usually some sort of satisfactory response or offer of some descriptionBased on responses here, I sadly am not expecting much response.

I am appreciative that there are a lot of mixed reviews for this hotel since the pandemic.
I cannot fault things so far.
Our check in was smooth and quick; and my Accor preferences (high floor, away from lifts) were well in touch. Room 1510 is about as far as you can get from the lift. Quite literally.
We went around the room with a fine tooth comb. Here's our complaint: the TV needs to be updated. I couldn't load Netflix, nor could I easily connect my MacBook Air. REALLY? How is that even a sane complaint? It's not.
Breakfast on the first morning was a dream. The world's friendliest chef in charge of the kitchen: I dare not go past without ordering an omelette. Didn't want to upset him. He had to dart off to take care of something and a colleague of his came in to make my omelette. It was lovely - and we had a little bit of chat (him being a face mask). I never - ever - have an omelette in a hotel for breakfast. This was super lovely. So much so, I walked over after to say thank you to the gentleman. He looked a bit stunned, but said thank you. Fifteen minutes later, he came over and had a lovely chat with my wife and I - my hearing's not great, and I had some issues understanding him through his mask, but it was just so nice to have a little chit chat, and to pass on a sincere compliment.
The Kaya Croissant this morning, bloody hell.
As for the lounge - we've had some solid eating in there; real wok hei on the noodles, and tonight's little chocolate banana mousse desserts were gorgeous. Great cheeses (carried over from the breakfast - I am pretty sure, but why waste food?) and salads there as well.
Barnabas, Kem, and Yaini have looked after us super well in the lounge so far. They're commendable.
Wife decided (after a measly 6 hour trek around the botanical gardens this morning) to spend the afternoon in the bath. And I decided to spend it drinking coughtails and playing video games in the bar in the lobby, 1864. Super friendly staff and a couple of us ended up chatting about video games and nerding it up when the wives aren't around.
Little tip: the gorgeous cakes at the tea/cake counter in 1864 are 50% off after 5pm. I resisted today... And only shall tomorrow because I'll be at MBS destroying my credit card for the birthday girl. But one for the back pocket.
Seriously. Cannot recommend this place highly enough. Top banana, as I would say.
I'm a stupid dick with a Scottish accent and a Bogan address.Impressive being offered the airport transfer! They know who you are![]()
