How do you store your wine [+ Fridge/Cabinet recommendations]

I recently bought a 6 pack of Chandon 2008 vintage rose brut from Grays (~$80). I knew it was a gamble and expected it to be past it's prime but it must have been stored in a hot warehouse or someone's house as it was completely undrinkable. Poured all 6 straight down the sink.

I should have learned my lesson as most sparklings from Grays have been slightly oxidised, much worse than any whites or reds. Also, the fact that with NV you have no idea how old it really is I have stopped buying them. At least this time I knew the vintage so thought I'd give it a go but no luck.

I'd not have had much hope for that even if stored perfectly.

Yeah I know, but a good quality vintage Champagne should have been ok. I'm aware that this was Chandon and not Champagne but I've had local sparkling from 1997 that was excellent.

I think the quality of Australian sparkling has come a long way in the last 20 years.

This question was asked previously a few years ago but didn't appear to be answered. Looking at a minimally managed storage solution (i.e. Wineark or Cellarit). Has anyone had any experience with either? Any tips or (worth a try) referral discount?

I won't need access to it for a year or so but will want to add the occassional purchase to it and therefore somewhere like Kennards wouldn't work.
I've been using Cellarit for quite a while, but over the last few years they've continued to increase their fees and introduce new charges, so I've decided to switch to Wine Ark. When I first started using Cellarit, there were no account fees, handling fees, or many of the other charges they now impose.

They've just announced another round of fee increases. From September, the Account Fee will increase from $6 to $7.50, while the Handling Fee will also rise from $6 to $7.50. In addition, the fee for each additional label will increase from $1.50 to $2.50.

They simply didn't have all of these fees in the past, and I find Wine Ark's pricing much simpler and easier to understand. I've already transferred some of my wine from Cellarit to Wine Ark, and I'll leave the rest at Cellarit until it's either sold or drunk.

Another advantage of Wine Ark is that you can collect your wine directly from their storage facility if you're able to get there. Cellarit also allows pickups, but they now charge $25 just to collect a case, which is yet another fee that didn't exist when I first signed up and keeps increasing.
