I recently bought a 6 pack of Chandon 2008 vintage rose brut from Grays (~$80). I knew it was a gamble and expected it to be past it's prime but it must have been stored in a hot warehouse or someone's house as it was completely undrinkable. Poured all 6 straight down the sink.
I should have learned my lesson as most sparklings from Grays have been slightly oxidised, much worse than any whites or reds. Also, the fact that with NV you have no idea how old it really is I have stopped buying them. At least this time I knew the vintage so thought I'd give it a go but no luck.
