Don't do it, there will be tears if you have to go back. Or in my case, I work damned hard so we don't have to go back.... its scary back there!

Economy isn't too bad for domestic or trans-Tasman flights because it's just 6 hours tops, but for international flights, especially long-haul ones, you need to be in at least Premium Economy.

In the toilets under the doona if the toilets are occupied and I can't be bothered waiting....

Sq suites - in the suite (doors closed), otherwise use the bathroom. meanwhile, when will SQ stop making them jammies so darn thick. have also resorted to the tee/shorts combo lately.

I change on the plane in the toilet but I have seen people board the plane in their PJs.

Children, I've seen. Adults, yet to see. I suppose there'll be adults who act sometimes like children.

Saw someone jogging in QF J pyjama top at the weekend-he had cut off the sleeves. Not uncommon to see them being worn in hospital

Am not knocking QF, as I understand that PJ's, even in J, are subject to cost restraints. But the best use I put to them are not in a plane. I save them for round-the-house very casual wear, for those days I don't feel like getting dressed, but where something more than underpants are required.

They are not flash, but fulfill what I see as their main purpose - something to endure long-haul flights in that doesn't degrade the clothes you actually want to wear when you deboard.

use the blanket to cover yourself(like a sarong) and change in the cabin

The woman across the aisle on Qf24 the other week certainly used her blanket to get the job done. She was pretty quick too, so must be well practised.

I often change before take off to miss the rush... As for QF PJs, I have a cupboard full and friends get a pair when they come to stay at our place.

+1 to change before takeoff. Hate spilling champagne on my good clothes :D
I also offer my guests airline PJs, although most don't choose the QF ones :p

Usually in the bathroom on board prior to take-off. Got quite a shock the first time I did it in F on the A380 with that toilet window!!

Have also been offered the crew rest area when upstairs on the 747.

Just wondering; do airlines re-wash/use/cycle used pyjamas?

I am not a fan of things used only once and then thrown away into the landfills :( The amount of rubbish that we ordinarily generate is unbelievable as it is :( :(

I always BYO PJ set to minimise the amount of waste we create.

Similar to comment by Quickstatus, I prefer to delay change to PJ until in air and seat belt sign off.

Running across a burning tarmac in bare feet and QF PJ's is not how I would want to evacuate should a takeoff problem occur.
