How do I make sure my QF account gets the points and SC's from an AA booked flight

Hi All

I booked a cheap Mel-LAX return flight through AA some months ago.. Flying on QF and my booking appears in my bookings on the QF web page but I just want to make sure that the points and SC's get credited to my Qantas Account and not AA.

I also have a flight booked with Hawaiian Airlines from San Jose to Maui return booked through HA and would like that credited to my Velocity Account but have no idea how to do it

Any help appreciated.

If your QFF number is in the booking then you should receive the Qantas SCs and points.

Have you tried calling Hawaiian regarding your HA booking to add Velocity number?

Being AA just make sure the fare bucket is an earning one with QFF (I am not sure if they all earn or not off the top of my head).

I get the impression from the OP these are QF metal flights purchased via AA website.

With AA / QFF it all depends on the flight number - i.e. "Marketing Carrier" and booking fare bucket.

What letters do the flight numbers start with?

When you look your booking up on qantas.com what letter is in each of the parenthesis (brackets) for the segments (e.g. (O))?

For the HA earning you need to find out the same things.

My apologies as I thought I had responded, but it is the marketing carrier (i.e flight number purchased) that determines the earn rate.

When I last flew Hawaiian I was unable to add my Velocity FF number to the booking online. The lady was happy to add it for me when I checked in at the airport and the points & SCs posted as expected.
