Here is my dilemma _ I booked J class Oman air and then found out that it was a D ticket and therefore I was not entitled to a chauffeur driven limo which was the only thing that gave it the edge over Qatar from BKK to Europe. It was strange as a 3 column price range appeared momentarily and then it defaulted to the D ticket. Now I can see it on Fare basis DRTTH but it did not mean much to me before I was told I was in D and I did not know the differentiation between the ticket classes. I am trying to learn.

Now I am looking at cancelling that booking as it will be cheaper to do that than pay to change the date of my return segment (100 Euros or AUD $131 to Change and AUD 69 to cancel and rebook .

Now I am looking at Qatar again and it is a Z ticket. the cheapest in J class but how do I know what it means? I can ring them tomorrow and ask but want to sort it all out asap. Your help would be appreciated. Many thanks as I do not want to have to make any more mistakes.:!: JoyV

You might need to consider a subscription to ExpertFlyer or KVS.. that way you may be able to check the fare rules.

I am registered on ExpertFlyer so will check that out. Interestingly that site had no info on current seating on Oman air Interntional flights.
Can you tell me what KVS stands for? thanks JoyV
