How bad is it. TA opinion.

I always figured PER-NRT would get the "Flying-axa-a-Roo" and they would run passengers through SIN and on to Japan Airlines. We'll see.
Maybe any future A330 operating non-stop on that route could have an orange star on its rear, rather than a kangaroo? (Unlikely though, as there is no JQ-A330 base in Perth, and QF would probably not want JQi flying a transcon Star Class positioning flight?)

If it isn't full??? Big aircraft, big engines! I figure that they just want to get 767's off international ops and will now do so wherever possible. Get the 763's onto domestic and Tasman and return the BA leased 763's and retire some oldies asap.
And they need the 763s on domestic ops to retire the 743s.

Aha. So that will take up the extra A330-300 capacity they will have after dropping a few services. .

The dropped services are from SEP and EBL arrives in DEC so I think MNL/CGK is being done with EBL's capacity. No news on what the extra 330 flying will be from SEP though

According to the Skybed rollout schedule MNL and CGK will be A330-300. EBL is a 200 series....but who knows

If they could get the add-on fare for SIN-NRT as cheaply as AA does for SIN-(JL- AA code share)-NRT-USA I think they might divert some of the east coast passengers to PER..... So I suspect that flying to SIN and picking up a whY fare there will still be the most economical choice for PER residents. But I don't expect QF to announce that very loudly.

But I wander

What. Even with your tribe :!:  :D
My tribe has only ever flown together on one vacation, and that time I needed 7 x X or T class seats available on the same flights. JQ was not an option for that trip ;). Since then, the max has been 3 seats at a time, but was looking for U then.

It was my inference from "JQ was not an option for that trip" - perhaps erroneous on my part...

It's not what you said so much as what you didn't say that left that door open. :D
And since I didn't say what I didn't say, I cannot be quoted as saying it - rule number 1 of politics, straight from my education through copious viewing of Yes Minister.

However from the opposition perspective you didn't say not either :!: :D

What was the topic here again :?:
